Team Matthew is walking in honor of the life of Matthew Godwin.

Matthew passed away on July 19, 2017 after a long hard battle with addiction.  He was a husband and a daddy to 2 beautiful daughters and a handsome son.  He was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and a friend to all he met.  We take comfort that the chains of addiction have been broken and he is free at last with Jesus.  However, we know there are a vast number of people who are suffering from the disease of addiction every day.  Our lives have forever been changed.  Our prayer is that we can in some small way be a part of changing lives through our participation in “End Heroin”.    If we were to save every person suffering from addiction, it would not bring our Matthew back, but through his story if we could save even one family from the loss and pain our family has suffered then Matthew's death would not be in vain
