On October 3rd, a group of us from Parkhaven Community church are going to spend a day at Cityteam's homeless and recovery centers in San Jose. Not only will get educated about poverty, homelessness and addiction recovery but we will spend one on one time with former homeless and addicted clients that are going through rehabilitation. Our hope and prayer is to have our hearts stirred to greater compassion for those in similar conditions in our own community, and to be better equipped to serve them.
