This January, in memory of my amazing brother-in-law Geoff Ewenson, I will be joining Team EWE Spirit in Key West to fundraise for the EWE Spirit Foundation, a wonderful organization that supports individuals around the country facing urgent and immediate needs.

In its first year of operation, the foundation granted $115,000 to eight nonprofit organizations that provide everything from housing and food to child care and job training. Their programs help families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds get back on their feet after unexpected, and often unavoidable, life challenges. Especially during the pandemic, it's been so heartwarming to see how many lives the foundation has improved. (Check out some of their stories here.) And we're just getting started!

I'll be volunteering at the EWE Spirit tent at the Key West Half Marathon and 5K and cheering on my brave sister when she crosses the finish line. This fundraising event will help the EWE Spirit Foundation start 2022 with a bang, creating momentum to expand our grantmaking even more throughout the year.
