There are simply too many stories to share about how the people I’ve encountered over the years through Faith & Real Life have changed me, impacted me, and become part of my story.
When I think about some of those stories, I can see how God has worked in each person’s life—and in mine. I truly believe we don’t meet people by accident. God has a purpose and a plan for each of us and for how our stories become connected, whether it’s for a moment, a season, or a lifetime.
For the last 16 years, our ministry has had a booth at a one-day festival. Years ago, a little girl and her mom came into our booth. It was a hot summer day, and the little girl wasn't feeling well. So I offered for her to stay in our booth, sit down, rest, and have some water.
It seemed like such a small thing. Why wouldn't you offer that to someone who needed it?
Fast forward to today, and that little girl is now a sophomore in high school. Every year, she and her mom still stop by our booth to say hello, check in, and catch up.
One small act of kindness became part of her story—and it became part of mine, too.
That’s what I love about what we do at Faith & Real Life. Sometimes we may never know the impact of a moment, a conversation, a kind word, or simply making room for someone who needs it.
It's who God calls us to be: to be a light in the darkness, hope for the hopeless, and a smile in the midst of sadness.
This kindness and simple act of faith is what we strive to live out every day at Faith & Real Life. It’s a reminder that we are all meant to be part of each other’s stories—in big ways and in very small ones.
That’s why I’m asking you to be a part of my story and the bigger story of Faith & Real Life.
