Greetings Camp Family! 

What a joy it is to be back on the mainland after our 28th year of serving children with heart disease. Summer 2022 saw 212 CHD kiddos laughing, diving, climbing and dancing on Catalina Island! 

At a time when so much is harder, camp is no different. Medical supplies are more expensive, parents are more hesitant to send their children away to live 5 days in a group setting. And still, even with the added barriers to making camp happen, the community remains resilient and garners it's collective strength to make it happen, safely, amidst those challenges. 

We are making a difference in these children's lives. Every camper is invited to stretch beyond their comort zones and embrace new, more expansive vision of themselves. Nearly all camper families report that CdC campers return from their time at camp with greater self-esteem. That confidence leads them to try more and accomplish more of their goals as they become adults. I've had the pleasure of witnessing this firsthand in the nearly 40% of our annual staff, who were once campers.
