Bespoke Bur Oak Table by Cider Press Woodworks

Aldie Mansion’s Bur Oak graced the grounds of the property for approximately 250 years while spreading its branches into a canopy of magical proportions.

In May of 2025, the ancient tree succumbed to age and spring storms, but its story continues.

Heritage Conservancy has carefully salvaged wood from the limbs and trunk of the fallen oak. In partnership with Cider Press Woodworks, it will be transformed into a unique piece of furniture honoring the tree's legacy.

The winning bidder will closely collaborate with the expert design team at Cider Press to create a bespoke table, selecting from options such as a coffee table or medium-sized dining table.

Final dimensions and design details will be shaped by the unique characteristics of the natural wood itself, which will be milled and cured over the next one to two years.

This one-of-a-kind piece will honor the legacy of Aldie’s Bur Oak while supporting the future of land and heritage conservation in our community.

Jane Ramsey Watercolor Painting

Take home a piece of Russell-Mandel Preserve!

Well-known Bucks County artist Jane Ramsey’s plein air watercolor painting depicts the scenic and stunning views of wildflowers in bloom at our Russell-Mandel Preserve’s pollinator meadow.

If the auction winner prefers, Jane can frame the painting and drop it off at their home. Included is an autographed copy of Jane’s book "Quiet Passage: Reflections on Neighboring Farms."

Jane studied graphic arts and design at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle and worked for decades as a commercial artist, illustrating concept and story boards for advertisers. She settled in Lehigh County shortly after and returned to live in Bucks County in 2011.

Jane’s landscapes overlap with Heritage Conservancy’s conservation areas, and many of the landscapes she paints are protected by our easements. “The work you are doing isn’t instant gratification,” she says. “We may be years out from seeing the benefit of it, maybe even generations out. But it is really important, and work that has to be done.”

Painting Experience with Jane Ramsey

Painting en plein air, well-known Bucks County artist Jane Ramsey will provide a private afternoon painting session at your home.

The final piece will be a small watercolor vignette painting, featuring a view of your home or favorite area of your property in Bucks County. You and a friend can join her and paint along with her (she will bring all the supplies) or just "sip" and watch as she creates in real time.

A few things to note: The location of the scene being painted must be located in Bucks County. The day and time will be agreed upon by the winner and Jane, and the painting must be redeemed by June 2026.
