Hello friends and family This Saturday, I'm participating in Chicago's Fasting5K event and I wanted to reach out to you to ask if you can support me. I will be joining a group of 50+ runners and walkers in Grant Park right before sunset to run a 5K and raise money for a local and international charity. The caveat is a few of us will be fasting throughout the day and will just be able to break our fasts soon after we cross the finish line. This year’s fundraising is going towards IMANA- save smile surgical mission where they perform cleft lip surgeries to children in Sudan and a local Chicago non profit providing for the hearing impaired community with workshops and courses for education and employment opportunities. Through Save A Smile mission is one very close to my heart, as I have personally seen the wonderful impact such a surgery can have on quality of life. It would mean a lot to me if you could donate whatever amount that is easy for you to help me reach my target goal.
