response: ASK organized the first Virginia Childhood Cancer Awareness Day at the General Assembly on February 15, 2018 as part of the Virginia Childhood Cancer Work Group, which includes representatives from major pediatric cancer treatment centers around the state. Over 80 advocates met with 51 legislators to share information on how many young Virginians get cancer each year, the challenges they face and the lack of state resources to support them.
