Family Promise helps local families with children at risk of homelessness, and this annual walkathon is traditionally our biggest annual fundraiser. ? I recently learned how to make whoopie pies. (The image above is not my own. Mine were a little more homemade looking than that. But my dad said mine were REALLY GOOD and he is the connoisseur of all sugary things.) I also learned you can ship whoopie pies in the mail because there’s nothing in them that can go bad. So every donor to my fundraising page gets whoopie pies! Maybe hand-delivered…maybe mailed. Maybe only ONE if I get tired of making whoopie pies. (I’m already tired of typing the word, so who am I kidding, really.)
