Why I run for Team Fired Up

I believe in the power of common everyday people, coming together, to create impactful change. I'm just a regular ol' everyday person who has noticed a need for change in an area that is incredibly meaningful to me. If you're looking at this page, you're probably someone who sees the need too - so let's do this, together.

I have never been one to stick to a training regiment or train for something physical for months on end - but when I committed to joining the "running" team at Dragonmaster - I have been motivated to stick to it. The cause is something I believe in and there isn't many organizations that I am so wholeheartedly supportive of. So, with my first 1/2 marathon coming up for DragonMaster in early 2024 - I tested my training that started back in May 2023 by hiking up Koko Crater Trail. This picture was taken in October 2023, at the top of Koko head. There was no way I could have survived that hike without those months of training for the 1/2 marathon. This was incredibly motivating to see how hard work and persistence can overcome the hardest of challenges.
