We’re Building Game Changers through our junior golf programs!
First Tee - Central Florida is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. Through our personal growth and junior golf programs, we see kids build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience, inspiring more active participation in leadership opportunities, community involvement, and college scholarships.
Why First Tee? Research reveals convincing evidence that youth involved in our programs transferred life skills to multiple settings and learned and used life skills through the game of golf. We help kids discover what’s inside of them, guide them to strengthen it, and mentor them to put it into action in everything they do.
We welcome kids and teens, 7 through 18 years of age from all backgrounds. The vast majority are the first in their families to learn the game. No family is turned away due to the inability to pay, and every participant who is in need of a set of clubs, receives them. As they grow, we trade them up!
First Tee - Central Florida endeavors for all youth to learn sound golf fundamentals, but most importantly, to instill the many inherently positive values connected with the game!
