Pediatric palliative care focuses on relieving pain and enhancing the quality of life of children with severe, life-limiting, or life-threatening conditions. At Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., our pediatric palliative care team uses a variety of therapies to help these children feel better (physically and emotionally) — no matter what kind of condition or prognosis they face.
In order to continue to provide opportunities for seriously ill children and their families to live their lives to the fullest, we need to enhance our program with additional staff resources such as a part-time chaplain and a dedicated Child Life specialist who will enrich patients’ lives with art, music, theater, and memory-making.
Our goal is for 1,000 individuals or families to each pledge $1,000. Won't you join us in this healing work? Make your gift or pledge today.
