Welcome to Sophia's Strolling Supporters! Come out and join us on October 1st for a fun filled day to support the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin- Fox Cities! This organization gives wonderful support to help families with the diagnosis of Down syndrome.

We are proud parents of a wonderful little girl Sophia. She has come along way in the last 5 1/2 years. Whatever life throws at her she gets through it from heart surgery and tubes, to feeding issues. She was last given a diagnosis of Failure to Thrive - has that stopped her- no! She maybe small, but this is full of life and love!

When you 1st hear the news about your child you often wonder what will life be like for not only her, but for us as parents as well; well I can tell you - it's a challenge, but a welcome one. With every bump in the road we find a smooth path leading us to the next great accomplishment. We worried about teaching her everything she needs to know; but you find that you not only teach her, but she is teaching you things as well. You learn to take each day for what it is. 

She is a daughter, a sister, a grandchild, a friend, and lastly a child with Down syndrome. The person 1st then the diagnosis!!
