When cancer patients are going through treatments, getting up and brushing their teeth can be a chore. The only focus at UNCCRI is to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors by providing clinical exercise-based rehabilitation services.
When Frank started his journey at UNCCRI he couldn’t even do a push-up. After going through radiation and chemo, my Superman was left struggling with many side effects including fatigue and muscular weakness. Improving quality of life at UNCCRI is ALL they do because they know the positive effects of exercise. The team took Frank from not being able to walk around the block to running up the stairs at UNC Guggenheim Hall acting like Rocky.
At UNCCRI the program relies on donations and grants to keep its program up and running. Frank's memory will live at UNCCRI for many years because of his contagious, positive, energetic personality.
