My Giving Tuesday Fundraising Page

I'm raising money to support Frankie Lemmon School!

Most of you know by now that the Frankie Lemmon School has become a huge part of our family, and we are passionate about supporting the school and helping in its fundraising efforts. Giving Tuesday has become even more important to us over the last several years as it is a huge fundraiser for this amazing school.

Our youngest son Thomas is 7, and this is his fifth school year attending Frankie Lemmon.  This year Thomas is in second grade at Lemmon Tree Academy which started two years ago and currently runs through third grade. We are so blessed that Thomas has been able to continue his journey at this special place. All of this would not be possible without generous donors throughout our community.

When we started supporting Frankie Lemmon years ago, we never thought we would be on the other side of things with a child at school there. Now the cause to help raise money has become very personal to our family.

For those of you that do not know much about Thomas, he was born with a rare genetic condition called Apert Syndrome. Apert is a craniofacial syndrome where sutures in the skull fuse together in the womb. The other signature characteristics of Apert include fused hands and feet. Thomas has endured multiple surgeries to give him ten fingers and ten toes, and one where his skull was reshaped to make room for his brain to grow. Thomas has also had major developmental delays. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 4.

We are so fortunate to live in an area that has a school like Frankie Lemmon. It has played a huge part in Thomas's growth and development over the past few years. The teachers, therapists and staff are incredible. They genuinely love the children they work with and are equipped with the skills necessary to help the children grow, succeed and thrive.

As we enter the holiday season with Giving Tuesday, I encourage you to look into the amazing things being done at the Frankie Lemmon School for kids just like Thomas who need the extra attention and care. Wake County only provides the school with a small fraction of what is needed to run the school. That is why donations like yours are so important.

Here's how you can help:

  • Donate: Contribute whatever you can. Every donation makes a BIG difference!
  • Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!

On behalf of myself and my family, I just want to thank you in advance for your donation. I know this season brings lots of asks when it comes to a charitable cause. If you find it in your heart to donate to Frankie Lemmon, it will help many children like Thomas with special needs. Your support means the world to us!
