FAQs:

1. What is the One Million Meals campaign about?

This September, Food Rescue US is taking action against hunger by moving ONE MILLION MEALS. By collectively raising $50,000, we can rescue an the equivalent of additional one million meals across the US. That same impact also fuels thousands of volunteer hours, enables thousands of food rescues each week, and keeps good food out of landfills.

2. How do I participate?

You can participate by joining your local Food Rescue US site team to help spread the word and raise funds on their behalf! To find the right team, click "Raise Funds for Your Local Site" on the top navigation bar, then "Join a Team". You will see a list of participating Food Rescue US Sites to join. If there is no participating site in your area, join the Food Rescue US National Team to benefit the whole organization! You'll be able to set up a personal fundraising page during the registration process to help move one million meals in September!

3. Do I have to join a team to contribute?

No! Anyone can donate, and you can also share your local site's fundraising page URL on social media or send the link to friends who may want to support us without joining a team.

4. Can I share on Instagram and LinkedIn? I only see options for Facebook and X.

Yes, you can share to any social platforms you'd like by copying/pasting the campaign or team page URL. Use the link sticker in Instagram Stories or add the URL to a LinkedIn post to share to your network.

5. Why can't I find my local Food Rescue US site in the list of teams?

Your local site may not be listed if they’re focusing on another September fundraiser or if they’ve already met their annual fundraising target. If there is no participating site in your area, join the Food Rescue US National Team to benefit the whole organization!
