During the month of July...
To support this initiative, I purchased a set of books that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and donated to an elementary school classroom where my daugther teaches.
My goal is to raise awareness of the authors that empower young women to build the confidence that is needed to tackle life (e.g. career, passions, other). This trait is not always embraced at an early age whether the barriers are one's upbringing, life stessors with lack of support, or other circumstances. There are known inequality barriers such as gender and financial/social class to navigate through as well. These books, in my opinion, paint a picture of what is possible no matter what walk of life. With the right mindset, support, and dedication, we can/will reap a harvest of greatness.
