I have worked with The Leaven for many years now and I have seen first-hand the incredible impact that their afterschool programs have had on countless at-risk youth in Vacaville, Fairfield, and several other cities and regions throughout California.  It is truly a Blessing to be able to witness these young people gain confidence, self-esteem, a sense of belonging, and so many other positive impacts at each of The Leaven sites.

Toward the end of each Summer, The Leaven holds their largest fundraising event known as The Mayor's Gala in Napa, CA.  As with so many other important events in 2020, the Mayor's Gala transitioned to a virtual event and moved into the Fall, being held on Sunday, October 25th.  As a new board member for The Leaven, I am proud to be hosting a fundraising table/crew for The Mayor's Gala called "Ian's Donation Squad" and I am asking for your support.  If you'd like to attend the event as part of the virtual "table", you can do so by donating $200 or more to The Leaven via the links included in this message and please email me at ianschmutzler@gmail.com.  If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to donate ANY AMOUNT, you can do so using the same links contained in this email message.

To say 2020 has been a very difficult year is a huge understatement and locally, we have had tragedies strike our communities with hundreds of homes being lost to the LNU Complex Fire event.  The community rallied around those who lost everything and we continue to support them today and going forward...this is a caring and generous community and I am so Blessed to live and work in this place.  I wouldn't be asking for a donation to just any cause in light of all that so many have given to this community over the last six or so months, however this organization, The Leaven, TRULY impacts these young people in our community in such a profound way, I am compelled to do all I can to support them.
