I Eat Lunch Every Day

I think every student should.

Help me make sure that students in Bois Negresse get lunch at school!

Every day at home and school I get healthy meals. These allow me to focus in school and participate in extracurriculars. Many students in Haiti go without. Please help me raise money to provide a school lunch program in Bois Negresse.

It will take $28,000 to provide lunch for all 190 children for a year, and only $400/month more to cover the remaining teacher salaries. You can see my goal on the thermometer. Please contribute to help me help others.    Donate Now to Help!

Gala Haitian Celebration of Plenty!

You are invited to lunch with Vanessa Lefranc Victor

Sunday, October 25 at 11:30 at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

We will provide the rice and beans.

Plus, if you have anything to share,

bring it along in the tradition of the saints in Haiti,

"To ensure everyone eats something on the Lord's Day."

Lunch is sponsored by Thrivent.

Let me tell you some things about Haiti:

  • Nearly half of Haiti's population is starving.
  • The average income is $350 per year. Teachers at our schools make $132/month
  • Only 60% of adults can read at a 6th grade level.
  • Many families cannot provide even one meal a day.
  • Their government unravelled when the president was shot in 2021 and gang violence makes city unsafe (see the map below).
  • The US government plans to "return" 350,000 people back to Haiti though many do not speak Kreyol and Haiti cannot absorb them
