So that no one faces cancer alone, Gilda's Club Madison provides free emotional support, cancer education, and hope to children and adults living with any kind of cancer, and those who care for them.

During my senior year of high school, I joined the Cross Country team in exchange for Baily Roese joining band. I ran a little throughout college and grad school, but in the past 10 years I haven't run at all. This summer, though, I started to run again, with the goal of being able to complete a 5K without barfing. To test whether I'm at that point (which I think I am :)), I've joined the Exact Sciences team running in this year's Gilda's Club Run. Because cancer sucks, and while we at Exact Sciences are helping to detect it earlier and guide cancer treatment, Gilda's Club is helping patients and their families after a cancer diagnosis.
