I am running in the Gilda's Run this year to raise money for a very important resource in our community that supports so many people affected by cancer! I was first "introduced" to Gilda's after my wife was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of breast cancer that sadly took her life in just 2 short years. The support that she received and gave to others in her group was an extremely important part of her unfortunate cancer journey. I personally attended a "friends and family" group until Jenn's passing and then a "living with loss" group for many months after. I benefited greatly from the support of others and from the feeling of community that Gilda's provides to families. I still keep in touch with people from my groups and hope to continue to find ways to give back to Gilda's Club in the future for all the families that will need this kind of support in the future! Thank you for any donation that will help keep this wonderful, supportive community thriving!
