I'm a board member for One America  and am so proud to be part of such a wonderful organization. We tackle a broad range of issues like immigrant rights, education, economic and environmental justice, voting rights, and immigrant integration. I'm raising money to fund our work and to pay our staff because we had to cancel our annual fundraiser in April due to COVID-19.

Some have asked me to share some of One America's recent accomplishments. Below are some Key Wins we recently secured:

-- Lobbied and passed the "Keep Washington Working" initiative, which helps keep families together by limiting law enforcement from working with federal immigration officials.

-- Lobbied and obtained funding for dual language programs in schools so students can learn in both English and their primary language.

-- Fully funded our New America Program to help immigrants and refugees navigate the complex naturalization process.

- Increased outreach in undercounted communities and increased legal services funding for immigrants to $3 million over two years.
