COVID-19 ALERT

A message from the Chief Executive Officer of Nemours Children's Health System

Our donors are an important member of the Nemours family. At this time of challenge, please know that our staff and leadership are thinking of you. All of us at Nemours hope that you and your families are taking the recommended steps to protect against contracting or spreading the COVID-19 virus.

Nemours is working closely with our communities to ensure the best possible care is available for the children who rely on us every day, including children who may contract the COVID-19 virus as this national public health challenge evolves. We are proud to be a trusted national resource for families at our clinical locations and online. Nemours KidsHealth.org is also helping families everywhere talk to children about the virus in age-appropriate language. This includes how children can keep themselves safe, and ways that kids can prevent further spread of the virus.

While it is true that the disease has been milder in children, there are legitimate concerns about their ability to spread the virus. We are prepared to meet the needs of children and families and are following guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the state Departments of Health. This is to protect associates, our patients and families, and to reduce the spread in our community. We remain committed to fulfilling the legacy of Alfred I. duPont by serving children and families in Delaware, Florida, and beyond.

We are so fortunate to have a strong community of supporters surrounding us as we work every day to fulfill the Nemours promise to treat every child as if they were our own. I am writing now to update you on the steps we have taken to ensure the health and safety of our Nemours community. For more information about the ways that we are handling COVID-19 or information to help you and your family, please visit our dedicated web site or Nemours KidsHealth.org.

Sincerely,

R. Lawrence Moss
