I've had the opportunity to travel to nearly half a dozen places with the Fuller Center and have seen homes of all shapes and sizes. Many are put together with little more than mud bricks and plastic sheeting, with rusty aluminum planks nailed on top for a roof. During this time of "sheltering in place" I can't help but think of those families living in drafty or stifling homes, with dirt floors and leaking roofs. Home is meant to be a home base, a place of safety and stability in the midst of life; but that's not the reality for these families.
The pandemic has kept us from traveling to these places, and building alongside these families, but it doesn't have to stop us from making a difference! Join me as I attempt to walk 150 miles and raise $1200 over the course of this event. The money will go to the Fuller Center to be used with the families who need it most, and will help them have their very own safe, decent homes.
