GloriDays is back!

Gloria Gemma's 4th annual GloriDays 44 mile multi day walk is upon us once again, and I couldn't be happier...  Once again we will be "living" at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick, RI. Sleeping under the stars in pink tents, showering in portable shower trucks (that are hopefully better than we had in 2017). Our walkers will be walking through scenic Rhode Island all while having the time of our/their lives. nd

2018 will be amazing and it's all made possible with your help. Each year our walkers need to raise $1500.00 and our crew members need to raise $250.00.  We all work hard to raise this money and all of you that donate are our "angels" and for that we are thankful. 

All of us know someone or are that someone that has or had cancer. I alone have lost 3 amazing women in my life to this disease. My grandmother had breast cancer, my aunt had lung cancer (mind you she NEVER smoked a day in her life), and my mother had multiple myeloma (Multiple myeloma is a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells. Normal plasma cells are found in the bone marrow and are an important part of the immune system.) And what none of you know is that I myself had pre-cancerous cells on my uterus and ovaries. I was lucky enough to have had found out in the early stages of the diease, but had to have both my uterus and ovaries removed to rid of the cells that could have attacked my body who knows what the outcome would have been. I also lost a dear friend named Lisa to triple negative breast cancer. So this IS extremely close to my heart. 

I want my son, his future children, your childrens children and so on to not have to worry about living with this horrible disease. So I am asking for your help once again with making a donation to help with the research that is needed to finally cure this disease. Yes, it takes years and millions to do just that but it has already been years and millions have already been raised to help find the cure. It could be as little as days/months/weeks or even just a year away. Think about all the money we all spend on things that we honestly don't need, but spent money anyways. (that fancy coffee we order instead of making it at home, that new lipstick shade that we never wear, those new kicks that just sit in the closet with the 17 other pairs just sitting there) with all that money I have spent on those things which I am sure you have too, we could make a difference. Just a dollar a day for a month or the age of you or your child or loved one with cancer or even the miles these walkers walk (44) would be a greatly appreciated donation. 90% of all money raised goes towards providing education, wellness resources, and survivorship programs to those touched by breast cancer, in our local community.  Will you help?
