More than 6 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. Seventy-three percent are age 75 or older. About 1 in 9 people age 65 and older (10.7%) has Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's begins 20 years or more before memory loss and other symptoms develop. The time is now to act - let's support those who are already suffering and protect ourselves, our children and future generations from this devastating disease.

Since starting our Home Care business, we have served nearly 1500 clients, and as you could guess, a large percentage have suffered from Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. This special group has included many dear family friends, a few very close relatives and countless friends of friends. We love the Golden Isles community and the fact that the money we raise from the Golden Isles Alzheimer's Walk stays right here in our wonderful community and helps OUR families is the best part of this fundraising effort!
