Welcome to my Grow Challenge page! I am raising funds to support the Danforth Center and its creation of equitable STEM education programs across the region. I hope you will join me!
The Danforth Center is a nonprofit with a mission to improve the human condition through plant science. Every day, their researchers are unlocking the power of plants to help feed the world and heal the planet.
The Danforth Center is also committed to investing in the future of the St. Louis region and empowering the next generation of plant scientists. Because of this, the Danforth Center recently partnered with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation to bring to life the new Jackie Joyner-Kersee Food, Agriculture, and Nutrition Innovation Center. This groundbreaking initiative will provide quality youth and community programs in STEAM+Ag, food production, nutrition, and physical activity in East St. Louis and beyond.
By supporting this year’s Grow Challenge, you will help bring some of these programs to life — empowering the next generation to transform their communities and the world.
I chose to participate in the Grow Challenge because:
- I want to help make a difference in the lives of children across St. Louis.
- I believe in the Center’s mission and want to do all I can to support it.
- I want to support the efforts of the Danforth Center’s Young Friends, who are leading the way in this campaign.
