So if you are reading this you are probably wondering the story behind this fundraiser. My mom has been battling Ovarian Cancer for 6 years now. She has never let it get her down. I remember the day she told me to call her doctor and she told my mom to go to the ER. Her OBGYN was still around, and she personally examined her that day in the ER. That is when her heard about the big C. Once dad heard that word....he passed out. Sorry dad for adding this in here. You love mom it shows. She came home that night, and poor dad was the one who stayed. From there she went into Boston for her surgery, and we all waited for what was to happen next. Her tumor had cells in there. Her doctor these past 6 years has been amazing making sure she gets the right treatments. If there is a hiccup that sounds off she knows about it. My mom was lucky. It was caught early enough. Not everyone has been this lucky. At my wedding in 2017 I surprised her with a mother/daughter dance. She had a big smile on her face and....sorry mom for making make up run, but it was beautiful. She is a beautiful woman, and to this day she is still fighting, and not letting this get her down. She is a hero, an inspiration, and my mom.
