Virtual 5K...what's that?
We do not track your time; in fact, you can choose to actually do the full 5K or not! A virtual 5K is simply a way for you to show your support for an important cause - and get a cool t-shirt doing it!
Now in it's 6th year, more than $100,000 has been raised to support chapters of Hands & Voices around the U.S.
Join the Hands & Voices New Year Virtual 5K!
Run. Walk. Bike. Hike. Roll. Surf. Whatever your mode, join us to Ride the Waves into 2026 for the 6th annual Hands & Voices New Year Virtual 5K! All 5K registrants will receive a race t-shirt, and the first 400 registrants will receive a custom finisher's medal. The virtual event takes place Dec. 31 to Jan. 3. (Note: If registered by Dec. 1, your shirt will ship in December prior to the event.)
Proceeds from this race will go directly to participating chapters of Hands & Voices throughout the United States. Hands & Voices is an international organization with 43 chapters that provides support to families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing and is non-biased about communication methodologies and believe that families can make the best choices for their child if they have access to good information and support. From American Sign Language to cochlear implants, our organization represents people from all different approaches to, and experiences with, deafness or hearing loss. We have local chapters comprised mainly of parents along with professionals. As the largest parent organization for families raising children who are deaf or hard of hearing in the U.S., we are called upon for thought leadership in health, education and parenting arenas, and work with families and the systems that support them from hearing screening, identification, early intervention, school-age, and transition from high school.
