Hi everyone,
As many of you know, our daughter Mae is Deaf — and she continues to amaze us every day with her curiosity, strength, and joy. Since Mae’s diagnosis, our family has been deeply involved with Hands & Voices New Hampshire, a nonprofit that supports families of all backgrounds who have Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) children.
For nearly two years, I’ve had the honor of serving on the Hands & Voices NH Board, helping families access the information, connection, and encouragement they need to ensure their children can thrive.
I’ve dedicated countless hours to this cause because I’ve seen firsthand how transformational it is when families are supported early and often. When parents have good information and good emotional support, their children reap the benefits many times over.
Our D/HH kids deserve nothing less. ?
This year, we’re raising funds in Mae’s name to help Hands & Voices continue our mission — providing family support programs, educational resources, and community connections that empower children to reach their full potential.
Every donation — big or small — helps us reach more families, strengthen our programs, and make a lasting difference across our region.
Thank you for being part of Mae’s community and for standing with families like ours.
With gratitude,
Sarah McFarland
Board Member, Hands & Voices New Hampshire
