We are fundraising for the Maryland/DC chapter of Hands & Voices. Katie spends some free time volunteering with this chapter, supporting HQ reporting deadlines and monthly meetings. She also co-coordinates the DC-specific Guide By Your Side Program, which is funded by DC Early Hearing Detection & Intervention. While the DC program is already funded, the Maryland side of things are not, we rely on your donations and fundraised funds! This way, the board members who live in Maryland can continue to host events more often for Maryland families to gather and socialize, for their D/HH children to meet other D/HH children outside their schools or communities, regardless of their communication modes or methodology.
