Who are you?
Hi! My name is Ben Thompson, I am from Severna Park, MD, and I’m 19 years old. I am an upcoming missionary at Hard as Nails. I can’t wait to serve with HN Ministries because Jesus is my everything and I can’t wait to share him with more people! (I also get to travel!!)
I believe God has called me to be a missionary in a few ways. The first being my desire. Ever since my sophomore year of high school, I have had a deep desire to serve as a missionary for Christ, and in a way I have been doing just that with my local youth group. I also love to pray, and some of my favorite forms of prayer are Lexio Divina, worship, & the rosary.
What are you doing?
I am a Catholic missionary, and I help bring Jesus to the youth. Currently, I am serving at Hic Sum Youth Group, but I will be serving with Hard as Nails Ministries in a few short months. When I arrive, I will start my training and start traveling around with my team, spreading the good news of Jesus!
What is Hard as Nails Ministries?
Hard as Nails is a Catholic, traveling, evangelization ministry that is on a mission to awaken the power of God’s love. Yes, we are Catholic, however we reach out to all people, Christian or non-Christian. In fact, we work with a program called “Virtue First” that solely reaches out to public schools.
One of our main goals is “Making a world where no one suffers alone” - (Hard as Nails Ministries). I have seen this firsthand at their events. The fact that every person on this earth has a unique story that can help those who are suffering is so powerful. Every Hard as Nails event I have attended, the missionaries not only share their story, but encourage the youth to share their story as well. The effect instills my soul with hope, and makes me feel less alone. I want to join Hard as Nails in their mission to bring God’s love and hope to the lonely.
What should I do now?
Go to Jesus! He created you and loves you so much that he would die for you on the cross. Pray with him.
How can I help?
Please consider donating! Part of my responsibility as a missionary is to raise $10,000 for Hard as Nails Ministries. 100% of all donations made to Hard as Nails help financially support all of our travel expenses, training, materials, and so much more.
