On June 15th, I will be bowling for Junior Achievement (JA) with a group of my colleagues!

I have a personal connection to JA as it's the great organization I worked at for five years, and through that work I met Jeremy.  Jeremy is now the President and CEO of our local JA chapter and I see how hard he works every single day to make sure more students have access to JA's programs.  (For those of you who don't know, JA inspires and prepares K-12 students to succeed through work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy lessons).  

I have been lucky enough to hear JA students tell their stories and according to them - because of JA - they stayed in school, became the first generation in their families to attend and graduate college, got jobs, started their own businesses and learned how to save money!  I believe every child should have access to these important lessons.  JA does its part by offering all of its programs at no cost to students or schools - that's why fundraising events like the bowl-a-thon are so important.
