$100: Ten kids can receive a goodie bag in place of trick-or-treating or trunk-or-treating during the harvest season.

$500: You'll help support our virtual Harvest Extravaganza on October 31 featuring a pumpkin explosion, a DIY costume contest, scary stories after dark, and more!

$1,000: Provides support for an existing one-to-one mentoring relationship that ignites the power and promise of youth. (And yes, we are still creating matches in a virtually!)

$2,500: Allows us to provide our matches with fun and creative learning activities - like cooking classes, writing workshops, and art sessions - where they can engage with their Big and other Littles in a virtual environment.

Earlier this month, I reached my 5 year work anniversary with BBBSBA! I absolutely love being a Match Support Specialist to our Bigs and Littles. Now more than ever, the ability to connect young people with a caring, supportive, and consistent adult is life changing. As a Match Support Specialist, I get to witness the power of positive relationships, and the strength and resliency of the youth and families I work with. It truly is humbling to see the work I do on a day to day basis creating real change not only in the lives of the youth we serve, but also the volunteers as well.

Since 1958, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area has operated under the belief that incredible potential is inherent in every child making meaningful, monitored mentor matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 to 18. Working in all nine Bay Area counties, BBBSBA is dedicated to creating positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.


