Dr. Daniel Goldberg began teaching at Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary in July 2005 until the health of his wife Madeline, along with his age, forced him to step away from his love of teaching in July 2014. Then in 2017, Dr. and Mrs. Goldberg had to abandon their home and move into a care facility. As previously agreed upon, Dr. Goldberg's large private library was donated to the library of Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary, some of the books are still being catalogued.
Dr. Goldberg loved teaching and he loved this institution. The financial support he gave to this institution exceded the sum total he was paid by the institution. It was as if he was paying us for the privilege of teaching and serving Jesus Christ through training others.
On June 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary will honor Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Goldberg by naming the library in his honor. We are asking every student who ever had him in a class, every faculty, staff, or friend who ever laughed at one of his jokes, and every member of Bible Baptist Church who loves this wonderful couple and desires to honor their life to give a donation in honor of Daniel and Madeline Goldberg. Funds given in their honor will go to help support and strengthen the library which will soon bear their names.
