Hello Friends and Family,

Some of you may know that I've left my job recently to pursue a career in the arts. Along the way I've come to the realization that it isn't the making of an art career that is of the utmost importance, but the community and its future that you build that matters most. So here I am venturing outside of myself to help those in need and to sustain a healthy community of individuals that will carry us into the future. This is my first foray into a fundraiser/program like this so please forgive me if I seem a little rough around the edges.

This program hits home for me because it is something that I wish I had growing up, so I'm making it a point for the ones in greater need to have an outlet in their tough times. I believe that creativity is the greatest healer of all, and the best time to nurture it is during ones youth.

Here's a little bit about this fundraiser that I'm involved in:

"Art & Creativity for Healing is a nonprofit organization that is giving away 1,200 Healing Art Boxes to kids living in really tough situations. Some kids are homeless, some have a mom or dad away in the military, others are in the hospital in cancer treatment or with a chronic illness.  Being able to express their pain, which is often bottled up, is a healing for them."

If this is a concern to you, please donate $20 (or whatever you're willing to help out with) to Healing Art Boxes and give a little individual some tools to express themselves where words cannot. If you are not able to, do not fret. I understand some of us are under financial stress. You can still help by forwarding/reposting this page to others. It would be greatly appreciated.
