I have been a Capuchin Franciscan friar since 2011. Throughout the years, the Province of St. Mary has provided for my formation, education, ministries, and material needs. I have never had to worry about the cost of living, room and board, tuition, health care, transportation, and so forth. Now I work in our mission and development office. I do fundraising for our young friars in formation, our senior friars, and our sponsored ministries. Like so many friars before me, now I go forth asking others to give us our daily bread.

Specifically, this walk-a-thon fundraiser supports Capuchin Family Ministries' summer service programs in Appalachia and the Hudson Valley. Your support allows teenagers and young adults to encounter Christ among the poor, as St. Francis of Assisi did 800 years ago. At their best, our summer service programs conscientize young people to social concerns. And they reveal the God who hears the cry of the poor.

Please give generously so that we may continue to evangelize young people and promote their social conversion so that they may serve the God who does justice for the poor.
