The walk is over, but the mission continues.

Support the mission beyond the walk.

While the Heart & Sole Capuchin Walk-a-thon has come to a close, the work it supports is just beginning. Every donation helps make it possible for teens, young adults, friars, and volunteers to serve those in need through Capuchin Family Ministries’ Summer Outreach Week in the Hudson Valley and the Capuchin Appalachian Mission in Harlan, Kentucky.

Throughout the summer, participants will spend their time serving seniors, children, families, and communities affected by poverty. Your generosity helps provide transportation, housing, meals, supplies, scholarships, and the resources needed to carry out these ministries.

This year, hundreds of supporters joined us in our most successful Walk-a-thon yet, helping to ensure that our summer service experiences can continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve. Although the walk has ended, fundraising remains open, and every gift continues to have a direct impact.

This year’s Walk-a-thon was dedicated in memory of Fr. Fred Nickle, OFM Cap., who served faithfully for 69 years and entered eternal life on March 23, 2026. Fr. Fred often said, “A Christian is someone in whom and through whom Christ lives.” Through acts of service, compassion, and generosity, we are honored to continue that legacy.

Thank you for helping us bring hope, faith, and practical assistance to our brothers and sisters in need.
