Update on the Heart & Sole Walk for Animals
Change can spark exciting possibilities. As we plan for the future of the Potter League for Animals, we’ve made the decision to put a pause on the Heart & Sole Walk for Animals.
This pause gives us the time to thoughtfully re-imagine how our fundraising events can best bring people and pets together. We’re planning a renewed fundraising program for 2026, and we look forward to building it with you.
We know many of you have already committed sponsorships, vendor fees, or in-kind support for this year’s event. Your generosity means so much to the animals, and we want to handle this transition with care and transparency.
Our team will be reaching out to each sponsor and vendor in the coming days to discuss next steps. You will have the option to receive a full refund, reallocate your contribution to another program, or apply it toward upcoming opportunities as we design the 2026 program.
If you have immediate questions or would like to discuss your options, please contact our Development Team at walkforanimals@potterleague.org or 401-846-0592.
Thank you for your partnership and for believing in the Potter League’s mission. Together, we’ll create new events that continue to bring our community together and support the animals who need us most.

About the Heart & Sole Walk for Animals
Join Rhode Island's largest Pet Walk to support lifesaving care for animals in need. The Heart & Sole Walk for Animals is a beloved tradition. In addition to raising essential funds to support our lifesaving work, it’s an opportunity for animal lovers to join together in creating a more humane Rhode Island for people and pets alike.
Your participation and fundraising for the Heart & Sole Walk for Animals helps the Potter League care for thousands of homeless animals each year and gives them the second chance they need and deserve. Our goal is to raise $115,000 to help every animal receive the very best care and find a loving home.
Register today! There is no registration fee to attend. All walkers are encouraged to fundraise or make a donation to the Walk to help us reach our goal and make a difference in the lives of homeless animals.
Once registered, you have the option to create your personalized fundraising page and send the link to friends and family, asking for their support.
