I turn the big 4-0 on October 16th, the same night as Light of Life Rescue Mission's More Than a Meal Gala! There's nothing I'd love more than for 100 people to give $40 for my 40th.

This one is personal. My sister-in-law experienced homelessness more than once, and Light of Life helped her rebuild her life. She's no longer with us, and I'm giving back in her memory. People experiencing homelessness are someone's mom, brother, sister, daughter, son, neighbor, and friend.

Light of Life provides food, shelter, and recovery programs to men, women, and children in Pittsburgh facing homelessness, poverty, or addiction. Their work goes beyond a meal or a bed. They help people rebuild their lives and become part of the community again.

If you've ever walked past someone on the street struggling and wanted to help but didn't know how, this is your chance. I'd love to walk into the gala with $4,000 for our neighbors who need it most. Thank you for being part of my 40th!
