On Friday, September 27th, I am participating in a fundraiser for Cancer Research called “Hackers For Hope”.  It is an all-day golf marathon to raise money for important cancer research.

The money raised is given to various hospitals and medical institutions.  But most important to me, some of the monies raised will be given to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

As many of you recall, my sister-in-law Margaret “Meg” Noonan was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 28.  She put up a valiant fight before finally succumbing to the cancer at age 35.  Her life was prolonged due to the amazing work of the neurosurgery and neurology departments at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

This fundraiser is an easy way to give back to MSKCC.  ALL funds raised go directly towards research and treatment.
