I am thrilled to be participating in my 3rd Hackers for Hope as a part of Al's Angels! My teammates and I are determined to raise $12,000 to fight cancer. The money we raise will support the following insitutions: Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY McCooey Memorial Research Fund, Weill Cornell Medical College, Donate Life CT and the Cannonball Kids Cancer Foundation.
I know that nearly every person in the world has been affected by cancer. As many of you know, my father Tom is a cancer survivor who was treated by the team at Stamford Hospital. Now eighteen years since his diagnosis, he is shooting his age out on the course, had his 2nd hole-in-one this April, and continues to be my favorite golf partner (a tie with my husband!). Our family is so incredibly fortunate. My goal is that more families have the same outcome as mine.
