My Story

Hello friends and family! ❤️ Long passionate post about something very important to me! I was at an event last night and learned about this Hike-a-thon! If you know me, you know I love hiking. I learned about Tenngreen yesterday. They are the oldest Land Conservancy in Tennessee! Since 1998, they have conserved 56,174 acres of land, protected more than 225 miles of streams and rivers, created or expanded 65 public spaces, and protected essential habitat for 81 rare species. What they do is help aquire land to help expand and conserve it for parks. They will aquire, pay, and hold the land until the buyer can pay, sometimes even donating it. One of the places that was aquire by Tenngreen was Cummins Falls. It was going ro be turned into a housing development and was saved by this wonderful organization! Trevor and I have been there and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. See pictures in comments! I plan on visiting many many more of these aquired places. ❤️ So far we have a plan to go to Fall Creek Falls, Burgess Falls, Rock Island State Park, Savage Gulf State Park, and Virgin Falls. Im hoping to raise $250 for this year by April 30th and starting even earlier next year! If you want to join my team, let me know!
