Hike, Skip, or Walk With Your Heart celebrates the transforming impact that having a caring family has on a child growing up alone. Join in the fun! Honor the idea of family, invite your friends to come with you or just help you reach your fundraising goal. Nothing makes a difference in a young person’s life like having a family!
Participants raise funds—as individuals or part of a team—to support the thoughtful work of giving older youth in foster care a voice and a choice in who becomes their family.
HOW IT WORKS
- Register for $30 (free for kids 19 and under)
- Set your fundraising goal (we suggest a minimum of $500)
- Invite friends to join you
- Using your own easy-to-create fundraising webpage, raise money to support Kidsave. (We’ll do most of it for you.)
Registration Includes:
- A group walk with a bunch of great people
- A Free T-Shirt
- Picnic lunch provided by Kidsave
- Connections with the local Kidsave community

Sugar Land Memorial Park
9 AM Check-in, 10 AM Hike
Meeting Point: We are meeting at the Main Pavilion, near the restrooms, lake, and Memorial Park playground.
Parking: You can park in the lot closest to the main entrance, off of Commonwealth Blvd.

HOW IT STARTED
Hike With Your Heart started in 2015 as an outdoor event for people to enjoy some great scenery and meet local kids in foster care while they enjoy a leisurely hike. Today, it is Kidsave’s premier outdoor fundraising and advocacy event held in multiple cities nationwide - even without hills! The events include games, meals, T-shirts, shoes for the kids, and lots of camaraderie.
