Why We Hike

Hike With Your Heart is an opportunity to raise awareness and support for the thousands of older kids and teens growing up without the love and stability they need. When we hike together, we show those kids they aren’t alone and raise much-needed funds to continue Kidsave’s life-changing programs.

The Ripple Effect of Every Dollar

Every gift has the power to create lasting connections.

• In Weekend Miracles, teens in foster care meet caring adults each month at fun, kid-centered events. That’s how Luna met Sydney and Stuart, and the three became a forever family.
• In Summer Miracles, kids from Colombia come for 5 weeks in the summer or 3 weeks in the winter when no families can be found in their own country. That’s how Sebastian met the Barkey family. A simple visit led to a permanent home filled with love and belonging.

Luna and Sebastian’s stories remind us that resilience, hope, and love can transcend backgrounds, borders, and language.

Kidsave is a registered 501(c)(3) that gives older kids in foster care an opportunity to find connections their way. By shining a light on the kids and giving them opportunities to meet adults who may become mentors or parents, we help create lifelong connections. Since 1999, this work has positively impacted the lives of over 1 million children worldwide.
