Join Kidsave's annual Hike With Your Heart and help create lifelong connections for older kids in foster care. Whether you lead a team and hike with friends, family, coworkers, or hike on your own, every dollar you raise helps more young people find caring adults and permanent families.

Spend the morning enjoying beautiful trails, meeting the Kidsave community, and making a meaningful difference one step at a time.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Register
   • Adults: $40
   • Children (ages 4–17): $15
   • Children 3 and under: Free (does not include T-shirt or lunch)
2. Set your fundraising goal
   We suggest a goal between $500–$2,000, but every dollar makes an impact.
3. Invite your team
   Hike with friends, family, coworkers—or participate as an individual.
4. Start fundraising
   We'll create your personal fundraising page for you, making it easy to ask your network to support Kidsave's work connecting older kids in foster care with caring adults and adoptive families.

PAID REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

• Official Hike With Your Heart T-shirt 
• Outdoor breakfast and picnic lunch
• Family-friendly games and activities
• An opportunity to connect with Kidsave families, volunteers, supporters, and staff

9 AM Check-in, 10 AM Hike 

We will meet at the Sun Valley Picnic Area located in the lower picnic area between the Community Loop and Janie’s Green Valley, across the road from the Visitor's Center/Park Office. PDF Map
 
Parking is available near the picnic area and park offices, and the park office side of the street. 
Parking Fee: $10 per car - cash and card accepted.

NOTE TO HIKERS:  Hike is a moderate hike with some steep portions; it is approximately 2.5 miles with breaks throughout the route.

Hikers of all skill levels are welcome. Hiking shoes or shoes with grip for loose gravel is recommended. The hike begins with a long uphill climb before transitioning into gentler rolling terrain.
