Once again, Frank and I will participate in our own way in the 18th annual Hillel Lodge Biking for Bubbies and Zaidies. Frank has been as resident of the Lodge since 2018, time seems to fly by. This cause is very close to our hearts, and your kindness, encouragement and support mean so much to us.
Frank has had a year of decline, particularly related to his weight and abilty to eat. He's thin and, with new clothes, continues to look ok. Frank is fortunate to have added support with his lunchtime meals, and although he sleeps a little more, even with his eyes closed, he continues to enjoy watching sports, movies and playing cards with his friends.
It has been a year of too many losses. Our good friend Allan Shusterman, another card shark who lived at the Lodge passed away, as did Carl Raskin who was a Board member and great supporter of the Lodge. Both are dearly missed.
Your generous support is especially meaningful because it directly benefits all Hillel Lodge residents. The care and community Frank receives there is truly a blessing, and your contribution helps ensure that all residents continue to receive the dignity, compassion, and connection they deserve.
