My Personal Fundraising Page

I am raising funds for our Hawaii Bleeding Chapter. Leah was diagnosed with Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) in 2021. We were lucky to get a diagnosis right away unlike some other families. It's still a learning path as we navigate her becoming an adult and being more independent. This year we were able to go to the NOW conference in Arizona educating us more on VWD. We also were able to get Sydney gene tested which was negative. At Family Camp Leah and Kyle did their first practice infusion. Kyle got the infant arm that everyone was struggling with. Leah over came her fear of holding a needle. We hope one day Leah can start doing her own infusion rather than going to the hospital when she needs it. Leah gets infused before any trip/vacation and if she has any injury. This year at our walk in October if we are able to raise at least $500 I told Leah she can pie me in the face. Boy, was she happy! All the money we raise stays in Hawaii. It helps provide education, community support, advocacy and programs for families throughout Hawaii.
