This Giving Day, we're closing that gap…making sure every Horizons student gets breakfast, lunch, and a snack, every day, all summer long.
A nutritious meal isn't just fuel. It's what makes a morning of swimming possible. It's what keeps a child in their seat, focused, and ready to learn. For our students, summer meals aren't a bonus… they're the foundation everything else is built on.
This summer, that means 12,600 meals (breakfasts, lunches, and snacks), creating a real financial need of almost $24,000 that the Horizons program cannot meet without your help.
Every summer, Horizons at The Ethel Walker School gives students a place to learn, grow, and thrive. But for many of our students, summer brings something else too: the loss of the reliable, nutritious meals they count on during the school year.
All 150 of our Horizons students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. When the school year ends, that safety net disappears.
A generous donor has offered to match every dollar up to $25,000 this summer. Their donation will help cover our transportation costs, while donations received here will help us pay to feed students.
