I'm running this year's Promise Run to raise money for a cancer cure and research, as well as to honor those I love who have experienced cancer. Many are in difference stages of their journey: some are continuing to win the fight, while others fought their battles with strength and grace until the end.
This team page is for this year's 2nd Annual Promise Run 5K/10K in Lakeland, FL on Saturday, February 27, 2016 - because everything is better when accomplished alongside friends! Whether you are walking, running, cheering or volunteering, I'd love to have you join the team!
And if you're not local - why not consider participating where ever you are! You can walk or run 5K/10K anywhere (I'd love you see your pictures if you do!), skate 5K/10K on the Canal (for my freezing Ottawa friends), or cycle 5K/10K in honor of someone you love. And you can always donate financially to help fund research towards a cure. There are so many ways to be involved.
I've set a fundraising goal of $200.00 - which I'm sure we can exceed! Let's raise money together for cures and research, and to honor those touched by cancer. I hope to see cancer eliminated in my lifetime!
